ReChat ("the Application") is built and maintained by Neon Bit Labs ("we", "us", or "our") as a Free app. This service is provided by Neon Bit Labs at no cost and is intended for use as is.

1. Information Collection and Use (100% Offline & Local)

We highly value your privacy. The Application is designed to operate entirely offline and performs all functions locally on your mobile device.

        No Data Transmission: We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your personal data, messages, chat logs, notifications, photos, videos, or audio files with external servers, third parties, or ourselves.
Local Storage only: All captured notifications and recovered media files are saved securely in the private directory of your mobile device.

2. Sensitive Permissions Utilized and Justification

To perform its core functions of message logging and media recovery, the Application requires specific sensitive permissions on your Android device.

A. Notification Listener Access (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE)

Purpose: The Application requires access to your device's notification stream to detect incoming messages from permitted social messaging applications (e.g., WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Instagram).
Usage: It reads the text of incoming notifications to display and backup chat history locally. This is necessary to preserve a copy of the message before it is deleted by the sender.
Privacy Guard: Notification logs are stored strictly on your local device and are never transmitted over the internet.

B. Storage Access & Storage Access Framework (SAF)

Purpose: The Application requires read/write access to your storage and selected directories using SAF to scan designated media folders of supported messaging apps.
Usage: This access is used solely to detect, copy, and preserve deleted media files (such as photos, videos, audio notes, and voice clips) to the Application's local directory.
Privacy Guard: Recovered media is saved locally and remains under your absolute control.

3. Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we do not collect any data or information on your phone. No crash reports containing personally identifiable information are sent to us unless explicitly initiated and shared by you via email support.

4. Cookies

This Application does not use "cookies" or any tracking technologies.

5. Third-Party Services

To maximize your privacy, ReChat does not integrate any third-party software development kits (SDKs), advertising networks, analytics platforms, or cloud-based trackers that collect or monitor user behavior.

6. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since all data remains entirely on your local device, we have no access to any user data, regardless of the user's age.
